The 32X was a 1994 add-on that plugged into a Genesis and bolted on two 32-bit processors. Sega shipped it months before the Saturn, split its own audience, and abandoned it within a year.
Roughly 40 titles exist, which makes this one of the most explorable libraries on the site. Knuckles’ Chaotix, Virtua Fighter, Doom and Kolibri are the ones worth your time, and all of them hint at what the hardware could have been given another two years.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Genesis to play 32X games?
On real hardware, yes — the 32X was an add-on. In the browser the combined system is emulated for you, so you can start any 32X title directly.
Why are there so few 32X games?
Sega discontinued the add-on roughly a year after launch, so the commercial library stopped at around 40 releases.
