GGEMU BodyController

Use your camera as a motion controller for GGEMU games, right in your browser. No extension to install.

Used the GGEMU Body Controller Chrome extension before? It has moved into the site, so you can remove the extension.

What it does

Turns your camera into a motion controller: lean to walk, jump to jump, squat to duck.
Built into GGEMU on desktop. Nothing to install, it works in any modern browser with a camera.
Works with emulator, J2ME and HTML5 games. Bind each move to any key the game uses, with hold, turbo or combo triggers.
When you go live, the skeleton can be drawn into your stream right where its window sits on the game.

How it works

1

Open any game on GGEMU on a desktop computer.

2

In the controls overlay, pick BodyController under Other ways to control. For HTML5 games, open it from the controls button in the player bar.

3

Allow camera access, step back until your whole body is in view, then check or change which key each move presses.

4

Start playing. A small skeleton window shows what is detected; its settings button brings you back to change moves or turn it off.

What you need

A desktop or laptop computer with a camera, a modern browser, and about 2 meters of space in front of the camera. The tracking model downloads the first time you turn BodyController on and is cached afterwards.

Permissions and privacy

BodyController needs camera access to read your moves. Tracking runs entirely on your computer: video is never uploaded or recorded, and each frame is discarded right after tracking. The camera turns off when you turn BodyController off or leave the game. Your move settings are saved only in your browser.
