177 games playable in your browser · Also known as N64
The Nintendo 64 launched in 1996 as the last major cartridge console, trading CD storage for near-instant load times and pairing it with the first analogue stick and rumble pack to ship as standard on a home system.
It is the machine where 3D control was worked out in public. Super Mario 64 defined the camera and the jump, Ocarina of Time built lock-on targeting around it, and GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark turned a four-controller port into the reason a generation stayed up all night.

A gamepad is strongly recommended. Keyboard controls work, but games built around the analogue stick — most of the 3D platformers — are noticeably harder without one.
N64 emulation is heavier than 8- and 16-bit systems, and titles that used the Expansion Pak or heavy 3D effects demand more from your device. A desktop browser gives the best results.
